Synergy Works Group – a startup IT and digital strategy consulting firm based in Bloomington, IN – is looking for college students with a background in business and interest in consulting, management, and / or project management.

Consultant Managers plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of an assigned team of consultants. As a manager, you will enforce department policies, manage daily operations, and plan the distribution of client work to specific associates. You will get hands-on experience managing a team, working with clients, and developing yourself and teams’ personal and professional skills. Managers will occasionally consult with Directors and Partners for guidance and mandates. More details about the role responsibilities can be found in the sections below.

The company was created by current and former students of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.


Qualifications:

    • Enrolled in 4-year college or university program in a related field(s)

Fundamental Responsibilities:

  • Monitors consultant interns on their team and those interns’ projects to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits to assigned clients.

  • Reviews respective team’s financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.

  • Coordinates activities within the team concerned with the production, pricing, sales, or distribution of service

  • Directs administrative activities directly related to providing services.

  • Performs personnel functions such as training or evaluation.

  • Manages the movement of finished services to ensure quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of operations.
